The GM-T500 Copper Wire Granulator is used to crush waste wires and cables and separate them into copper granules and plastic insulation, thereby recovering pure copper.

Description

The GM-T500 Copper Wire Granulator is an automatic waste wire and cable recycling system that efficiently separates and purifies copper from plastic, and uses dust collection components to recover pure copper granules while meeting environmental production requirements.

The GM-T500 copper wire granulator can be paired with our GM-D350 small single-shaft shredder or GM B series mini shredder to form a complete production line. This line significantly enhances the processing capacity for thicker cables, achieving an overall output of 300–400 kg/h.

Feeding Materials

The GM-T500 Copper Wire Granulator is suitable for processing various types of waste wires and cables as well as mixed cable materials, including: residential wiring scrap, communication cables, automotive wire harnesses, computer data cables, power cables, etc.

After Processing

After being crushed into fine particles, the waste electrical wires are separated by a built-in airflow separator. The final copper particles will have a purity of over 99.9%. These separated copper and plastic particles can then be further recycled.

Working Process of GM-T500 Copper Wire Granulator

Feeding and Crushing: Waste wires are first conveyed into the main unit via a feeding conveyor, where they are crushed into granules.
Dispersion and Classification: The crushed material is uniformly dispersed by a spreader and a rotating drum, then fed into a vibrating screen for classification.

Gravity Separation: Driven by a shaking table and bottom-blown airflow, the copper granules are preliminarily separated from the plastic based on differences in specific gravity and airflow dynamics.

Electrostatic Purification: The separated material undergoes further purification via electrostatic separation to recover any residual trace amounts of copper powder.

Dust Removal: Throughout the entire process, a dust collection system—comprising dust collectors, negative-pressure suction, and airlocks—operates continuously to capture airborne dust and prevent environmental pollution.

Iron Removal: An iron removal device extracts any ferromagnetic impurities mixed within the material.

Recycling and Reprocessing: Recycled streams 1 and 2 return any incompletely separated material back to the production line for further processing.
